Recipe: Easy Shrimp Grain Bowl with Green Giant Restaurant Sides

And so - here is your shortcut to an Easy Shrimp Skewer Grain Bowl, made with the new Restaurant Sides by Green Giant. Today, I plate up these grilled shrimp skewers but this whole concept really works with any protein to make the veggie base into a hearty meal that feels like it could be from a favourite restaurant. In minutes, the shrimp skewer is assembled and then I served them over Broccoli Spinach Florentine, Brown Rice & Quinoa with Parmesan & Romano Sauce AND the Roasted Root Vegetables with Garlic & Thyme to make this a dreamy grain bowl that comes together in less than 10 minutes. Shrimp Grain Bowl

with Green Giant’s new Restaurant Sides: Broccoli Spinach Florentine, Brown Rice & Quinoa with Parmesan & Romano Sauce + Roasted Root Vegetables with Garlic & Thyme

Ingredients:

  • Broccoli Spinach Florentine, Brown Rice & Quinoa with Parmesan & Romano Sauce Restaurant Sides by Green Giant

  • Roasted Root Vegetables with Garlic & Thyme Restaurant Sides by Green Giant

  • Shrimp

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Basil

  • Wooden Skewers

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • Chives

  • Lemon wedges

Method: 

  1. Keep your Green Giant Restaurant Sides in the freezer until ready to use.

  2. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a frying pan.

  3. One at a time, when the pan is hot, you can open the Green Giant Restaurant Sides package and empty contents into the frying pan. Give it all a little stir together with the olive oil, then cover with a lid and cook on medium high heat from 8-9 minutes.

  4. While the Green Giant Restaurant Sides are cooking, you can prep your protein! Grab a skewer and pierce your shrimp, basil leaf and cherry tomatoes in a repeating order. Brush with olive, salt and pepper and grill until cooked through.

  5. To present, fill each half of a bowl with a scoop from each of your Green Giant Restaurant Sides and serve your protein on top. For Garnish, feel free to present as is or you can use fresh chives over the root vegetables and add a wedge of lemon to bring more summer vibes to the bowl!
