HIRING: Production Assistant
The Position: ToFoodies Production Assistant 🍩
ToFoodies is looking for a highly organized, social media and food-loving Production Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with the Founder & Content Creator behind ToFoodies, Danielle Finestone, to assist with the multiple aspects of photo and video content creation, while also diving deep into the overall administration of ToFoodies.
This is an entry-level role with major growth potential for the right candidate as ToFoodies continues to evolve as a company. There is an editorial side of the business a) creating content around events, restaurants, food and recipes and there also is an advertorial side b) working with brands and creating custom collaborative content, including recipes, event recaps, and more.
The goal is to continue creating drool-worthy, consistently valuable content, while also expanding ToFoodies. This search is for a new team member to be Danielle’s in-house right hand to help nurture our existing community and in turn, grow the brand. For the right candidate, this position has the opportunity to become extremely integrated into brand partnerships and offers 360 training in content creation. Role Responsibilities:
Content Support
In-person Production Assistant at ToFoodies’ recipe and event shoots
Edit photo and video content and prepare outlines and/or early drafts for content. For example, video treatments, voiceover scripts and content captions.
Schedule posts for ToFoodies’ primary social media channels (Instagram & Tiktok) and cross-posting content to ToFoodies.com and secondary social media platforms like YouTube and Pinterest.
Creatively utilize archival ToFoodies content to repurpose into fresh content
Assist with brainstorming, research and content conceptualization for ToFoodies content
Update and create assets like media kits, rate card and graphics
Organizational Support
Organize and maintain the ToFoodies event calendar
Administrative support for ToFoodies Founder
Organizing and maintaining an archival library of ToFoodies content
Propose new systems, routines, and processes to directly influence our capacity and efficiency
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient with modern social media, specifically Instagram and Tiktok
Well-versed and up to date on social media trends
Proficient with Photo & Video editing tools like Capcut and Canva
Experience in a social media role and/or the food industry is strongly preferred
Confident verbal and written communication — major bonus points if you’re a great writer!
Extremely organized, meticulous, and thorough
Self-starter who can follow through with a task from start to finish and unafraid to ask questions or “circle back on that”
An interest and knack for home cooking and/or baking is a plus, but not required
Valid driver’s license and reliable car are an asset

Role Details:
Part-Time
Pay: Hourly (Approximately 15 hours per week, with 5 hours in-person)
Structure: Part in person, part remote (must be based in the GTA area or be willing to travel to Toronto a minimum of once a week)
Compensation Overview:
Hourly rate will commensurate with experience and skill
